How much does a Tummy Tuck cost? Death from surgery

How much does a tummy tuck cost is a very common question when one is considering this surgery but recent deaths from the surgery have many people reconsidering having this very dangerous procedure. It must be noted that the side effects of the operation are considered to be very serious, in this post we will expose this operation that many may be considering undergoing. How much does a tummy tuck cost? On average this very serious operation will cost over 7,000 dollars but there is much more that you should know before opting for this procedure.

Death from the operation

Last year ABC News reported on a woman who died from the operation, the story highlighted the fact that this is a very serious operation which can have deadly side effects.

(Judith Desmarets) experienced "seizure-like activity" hours after the surgery at the doctor's clinic, according to the Oregon Medical Board, and died four days later. Shortly after the doctor administered anesthetic, Desmarets complained of chest pains and shortness of breath, Kathleen Haley( Executive director of the Oregon Medical Board)said.

The doctor ended up having to leave the room and called 911. In that call she was very distraught, Haley said. By the time paramedics arrived, Desmarets was not breathing and did not have a pulse, according to the court complaint. Desmarets never regained consciousness and died four days later at Portland Adventist Medical Center. How much does a tummy tuck cost? It may cost you your life.

The medical examiner ruled Desmarets died of inadequate oxygen supply to her brain tissue.

The American society of Plastic surgeons have noted that serious side effects from the operation include blood clots, fluid accumulation in the legs as well nerve damage. One of the more dangerous side effects that has been frequently noted is excessive bleeding under the flap (skin). Excessive bleeding for months I have been one of the more troubling effects of the operation.

A better option than surgery

People who are seeking this surgery usually do so to remove excessive skin and to strengthen stomach muscle but there is a way to accomplish this without surgery. Most obesity today has been caused by inflammation, inflammatory obesity is why people cannot lose weight with dieting. Processed foods cause tissue inflammation leading to weight gain, this is what most diets cannot reverse but a diabetic style diet caused people with or without diabetes who had an inability to drop the excessive fat lose weight and tighten skin.
There is no other permanent and natural loss of body weight than by reversing inflammation which is caused by our modern food chemicals. A diabetic styled diet reverses tissue inflammation and causes the skin to tighten in people with or with diabetes.

People in over 17 countries have avoided this surgery with a diabetic styled diet, most of these women did not have diabetes but the inflammation was reversed causing a tighten of the skin around the abdominal.
